Who am I...
My passion for gaming ignited immediately when I played my first video game as a child: Spyro 2 for the original PlayStation. I remember wondering what secrets could be hiding in these gigantic worlds. A few years later, I played Metal Gear Solid 2 and was instantly hooked by the storytelling and presentation; it was the first time I played a game that felt more like a movie (in the best way possible). Fast forward a couple more years... Fallout 3 was the first time I ever played an open-world RPG, and it was mind-blowing to me, with the endless possibilities and the power to do almost everything you could think of. That was also the game that got me interested in game development. I even made a (very basic) mod for it back then. After that, I started to soak up every bit of knowledge I could find about game development. I watched all of GMTK and early game development YouTubers to find out how systems work, how to guide players with the environment, what makes good writing, which factors define the difficulty, and so on. I started learning C# and Unity to make games as a hobby. I got a degree as an IT Assistant and began studying Computer Science, although I ultimately did not finish it. All these years, the thought of turning this lifelong passion of mine into a career never truly left my mind, and now I am eager to finally make it a reality.
